IntelliFile 3 Software Build 141
|
SECTION 1 - WHAT'S NEW IN THIS RELEASE
1.1 – IntelliFile3 now allows the system programmer to configure an IntelliControl ICS system
with multiple HT-MSU controlled theaters. Please see the IntelliControl ICS System
Design Guide Volume 2 for detailed information on the design and integration of theater
systems with the IntelliControl ICS Integrated Control Solutions products.
1.1.1 – A Niles Home Theater Main System Unit (HT-MSU) can now be assigned to a zone of an IntelliControl ICS Modular MultiZone receiver (GXR2), thereby creating a Theater Zone on the GXR2 and allowing the installer to “share” all of the IntelliControl ICS sources through one audio connection to the home theater receiver. 1.1.2 – The IntelliControl ICS system architecture supports creating audio/video distributed system with up to 30 zones, including up to 4 Theater Zones with seamless control options for the end user. 1.1.3 – When creating a new home theater configuration that contains multiple Theater Zones, there will be two progress bars to indicate how far along the programmer is with each individual theater configuration, as well as indicating the overall theater configuration progress 1.1.4 – After transferring a multiple theater configuration, the emulation/test screen now allows the programmer to chose which of the Theater Zones to test functionality.1.2 – IntelliFile3 now gives the programmer the ability to “Load and Save” favorites for faster configuration of the following source cards: TM-AM/FM, TM-XM, TM-Sirius, TM-HD/R and IM-Audio. 1.3 – Firmware Update now allows an installer to manually change an iRemote RF Base to Master or Repeater without having to transfer a new configuration. 1.3.1 – This feature is accessed via the "Update Manually" button from the Firmware Update 2.0 main screen. The programmer just right-clicks on an iRemote Base in the list and then manually changes it to either a Master or Repeater RF base.1.4 – IntelliFile3 has changed the default "Power-on Dead Time" settings for faster operations with theaters that are using audio/video sources that have discrete Power ON and OFF commands. 1.4.1 – The default "Power-on Dead Time" for the IR controlled TV and Home Theater Receiver has been changed to 1 second each from their original 2 seconds each. 1.4.2 – The default "Power-on Dead Time" for the IR controlled sources 1-6 has been changed to 0 seconds each from their original 2 seconds each. 1.4.3 – The "Power-on Dead Time" can still be manually changed from the "Extended Programming" screens of IntelliFile3.1.5 – IntelliFile3 now has the ability for the programmer to create a Master Key on an iRemoteTS for a home theater source that has no Function Keys. Additionally, the programmer can provide the end-user with on-screen text for display on an iRemoteTS detailing operation of said source when that source is selected. 1.6 – IntelliFile3 has two new system reports that can be generated and printed as needed that detail the customer MultiZone and Theater configurations. 1.6.1 – These reports are generated by clicking on the Tools button on the tool bar of IntelliFile3. 1.6.2 – These reports are generated in both .txt and .csv formats and are compatible with most word processing and spreadsheet programs. Additionally, these reports are extremely small allowing them to be attached to emails for troubleshooting system designs.

SECTION 3 — KNOWN ISSUES
3.1 – The TV Array feature does not work when multiple HT-MSU controlled theaters are configured. The TV Array feature does work when configured in a system where there is only one HT-MSU controlled theater. The TV array feature of the HT-MSU requires the use of a companion Niles PAR-4 Simplified IR router to allow the HT-MSU to automate control over a TV array consisting of 2 to 8 identical televisions that have discrete power on and off codes. |
